TRAVELLING IN BRAZIL
Luxory Cruice Iguassu Falls or Iguacu Falls Sometimes described as being one of the 7 natural Wonders of the World; in fact, Iguassu Falls are neither the widest waterfall in the world, nor are they the tallest. However, what it lacks in width and height it makes up for elsewhere. On the Parana River, the falls act as a natural border to the countries of Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay and compose of 275 cataracts in total. Best time of year to see the Iguacu Falls is between October and December and as this is such a magnificent sight, it is highly recommended that you make arrangements to stay at least one night here before moving on to your next destination!
Rafain Hotel
Amazonia National Park Covering an impressive 7 of Brazil's 27 states, The Green Inferno covers almost 40 per cent of Brazil's total landmass. Although parts of the Amazon cover countries bordering Brazil (notably Bolivia, Colombia, Guiana and Peru), it is to Brazil that most tourist come if they want to take in the splendors of this most magnificent natural wonder. Things to do in the Amazon include bird watching, trekking/hiking, climbing and taking boat journeys along the river. Without doubt, a tour to Brazil is incomplete without a trip to the Amazon.
  Whitewater Rafting & Tubing Brazil
Jacaru River, Brazil Brazil is the place for incredible rafting adventures, thanks to its rich treasure of rivers, which can be perfectly rafted upon. The Jacaru River is certainly a top pick in this category. Crafted primarily for mild excursions, the river sports serene waters in the upper stretches of its journey. With rapids of Class II, this section of the water body is ideal for novices, children and family trips.
However, as you proceed, the Jacaru River unveils its wealth of waves and brings the most thrilling rapids. Especially in the lower section, the waterway offers rapids of Class IV, which can be tamed only by the amazing expertise of a professional or experienced rafter. The adventure on the waters of Jacaru River will provide you an extra dose of emotion and thrill you have never experienced before! Raft through the unexplored areas of the water body and watch drastic change in its features with every twist and turn!
Luxory Cruice
camping expedition, Apart from paddling through the captivating waters, you can arrange for a camping expedition too. The Jacaru River, with its breathtaking natural beauty, is welcoming all of you to make your expeditions successful. Another major attraction of the riverside is its rich wildlife, allowing you a view of caimans, monkeys and different kinds of birds. Adding further excitement in the trip is the majestic valleys with its spectacular view of lush green life. So, get swayed in the high-rising whitewaters and lose yourself in the exquisite locations of the riverside. But, to capture all the fascinating features of the Jacaru River, don’t forget to carry a camera with you!
Carnaval, music is a big part of the Brazilian experience
Luxory Cruice Given the country’s many riches, it’s no surprise that Brazil has been turning heads for centuries. Among the first to fall under the spell was the Portuguese king himself (Dom João VI), who came, fell in love and just couldn’t tear himself away from his adopted homeland – something to keep in mind when booking that return flight.
Whether or not you come for Carnaval, music is a big part of the Brazilian experience. There are numerous ways to discover the perfect beat, from dancing with Cariocas at Rio’s atmospheric samba clubs to following powerful drumbeats through the streets of Salvador. There’s dancehall forró of the Northeast, twirling carimbó of the Amazon, scratch-skilled DJs of São Paulo and an endless variety of regional sounds that extends from the back-country sertanejo to reggae-loving Maranhão.
Yes, I am crazy about the country
Yes, I am crazy about the country! I have been ever since my one year stay here in 2001 as an exchange student. I made many friends and have several good experiences to share, good and of course some bad ones too. You’ll find all my stories here on Globe-Trekker.com Luxory Cruice
Be warned: Rio’s powers of seduction can leave you with a bad case of saudade (indescribable longing) when you leave. Planted between lush, forest-covered mountains and breathtaking beaches, the Cidade Maravilhosa (Marvelous City) has many charms at her disposal.
Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
Luxory Cruice Christo redemptor is a statue of Jesus Christ in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; considered the largest art deco statue in the world. The statue stands 39.6 metres (130 ft) tall, including its 9.5 metre (31 ft) pedestal, and 30 metres (98 ft) wide. It weighs 635 tons (700 short tons), and is located at the peak of the 700 metres (2,300 ft) Corcovado mountain in the Tijuca Forest National Park overlooking the city. It is one of the tallest of its kind in the world. The statue of Cristo de la Concordia in Cochabamba, Bolivia, is slightly taller, standing at 40.44 metres (132.7 ft) tall with its 6.24 metres (20.5 ft) pedestal and 34.20 metres (112.2 ft) wide. A symbol of Christianity, the statue has become an icon of Rio and Brazil. The statue of Christ the Redeemer is a very important symbol of Brazil's Christianity. It is made of reinforced concrete
Local engineer Heitor da Silva Costa designed the statue; it was sculpted by French sculptor Paul Landowski. A group of engineers and technicians studied Landowski's submissions and the decision was made to build the structure out of reinforced concrete (designed by Albert Caquot) instead of steel, more suitable for the cross-shaped statue. The outer layers are soapstone, chosen for its enduring qualities and ease of use. Construction took nine years, from 1922 to 1931. The monument was opened on October 12, 1931. The cost of the monument was $250,000. The statue was meant to be lit by a battery of floodlights triggered remotely by shortwave radio pioneer Guglielmo Marconi, stationed 5,700 miles (9,200 km) away in Rome, but poor weather affected the signal and it had to be lit by workers in Rio.

Copacabana is a place for adventure!

Lonely Planet

Let loose and get to know Brazilian culture and the "Cariocas" (The name of a person born in Rio de Janiero!) to make the most of your vacation. I find them to be the friendliest, most sympatic, most loving people I have ever met.
A land of magnificent beaches, vast rain forests and music-fueled cities, Brazil bears an astounding variety of natural and cultural wonders. This is the world’s largest country in the tropics, and the only limit to a journey here is your imagination. Setting the stage are idyllic, unspoiled islands such as Ilha do Mel or Ilha Grande, pristine stretches of coastline fronting emerald seas, and jewel-box colonial towns like Ouro Prêto or Olinda. Then you have the cities: Brasilia, the futuristic inland capital; Salvador, historic and colorful pearl of the northeast; megalopolis-with-the-mostest São Paulo and - of course - Rio de Janeiro. Spectacular, sassy, simply unforgettable - you'll run out of superlatives trying to do this cidade maravilhosa (marvellous city) justice.
